To work as a registered nurse in the USA, your nursing education must first be evaluated for US equivalency, commonly through CGFNS International. You then apply to a specific state board of nursing (each state, such as California, Texas, or New York, sets its own requirements), which issues your Authorization to Test (ATT) once your application and any required English proficiency exam (TOEFL or IELTS, depending on the state) are cleared. The NCLEX-RN itself is scheduled through Pearson VUE, with test centres available across India — you do not need to travel to the USA just to sit the exam.
