Registered nurses moving to Canada also need their credentials assessed by the National Nursing Assessment Service (NNAS) before applying to a provincial regulatory body such as the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) or the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). Depending on the province, candidates may also need to clear an English or French proficiency test such as IELTS or CELBAN. Once approved, the NCLEX-RN itself is booked through Pearson VUE, with test centres available in India, so you do not need to travel abroad just to sit the exam.
